We will not be able to have our Grandparent's day luncheon this year due to COVID-19. Instead, students have written letters to their grandparents that were stamped and mailed from the school last week. Parents were asked to help address 1 or 2 envelopes and return them to school. Please ask grandparents to be watching their mailboxes this week!

For 2nd-5th grade students, their 3-week progress report is available in Skyward Family Access. Parents are asked to review and sign your child's report. If you have any questions about your student's grades, please reach out to their classroom teacher. Thank you for your partnership in your child's education.

If your child forgets their water bottle, they are now able to purchase a bottle from one of the breakfast Grab & Go Kiosks. Students will be charged to their accounts. Please add funds to their meal account using School Cafe. If you must send cash, please place it in an envelope with your child's first and last name, the amount of money sent, and it's purpose, for example, John Doe, $5, Lunch & Water Money.

Water is priced:

8 oz bottled water will cost .25

16 oz bottled water will cost .50

We will be selling our 2019-2020 Yearbook through the BCISD School Store. Each book is $12. Sales are available now and will continue through September 18th. Yearbooks will be delivered to students attending in-person on Thursday, September 24th.

For students, learning remotely and students who now attend Middle School, we will have an evening pick up from 4pm-6pm on Thursday, September 24th. The person claiming the book will need to show ID that matches the online order in order to claim the book.

Some families have been experiences difficulty with receiving emails from Skyward. Below are the steps to adjust your settings.

1. Go to Skyward Family Access

2. Click My Messages

3. Click the Settings icon

4. Click Subscribe to all emails

Teachers frequently send classroom communication through Skyward. As a campus, if we need to communicate with a small student group such as only Remote Learners, we will use Skyward email for these communications.

1. Visits to the school are by appointment. We will attempt to address situations by phone or Google Meet. In-person appointments can be scheduled if the situation requires. When visiting campus, please be prepared to show a valid photo ID.

2. If you do visit the school, face coverings are required for all adults at all times. This includes the office foyer area.

3. Due to COVID-19, we will not have any on campus volunteers at this time.

4. We are not accepting deliveries including forgotten lunches (hot meal will be provided by the cafeteria), birthday treats, and food order.

5. If you need to make an occasional change to your child's transportation home, please use the Bertram Transportation Change email: ber-transportation@burnetcisd.net . Transportation changes must be emailed in no later than 1:30pm. Teachers will not be able to accept transportation changes.
   

6. Be familiar with the Arrival & Dismissal Map.

1. Complete AT HOME self screening before getting on the bus or coming to school.
2. Face coverings for all bus riders, and students in grades 1st-5th. Face coverings are strongly encouraged for PreK and Kinder. Remember wearing a face mask reduces your child's chance of having to quarantine for close contact.
3. Bring your backpack including water bottle, snack, and lunchbox (if bringing lunch).
