CARDBOARD CHAIRS
The Engineering and Architectural Design students were challenged to design and construct a chair using only cardboard, with no glue, tape or other fasteners. The requirements were that the chair be structurally sound (hold a team member for 5 minutes without collapsing), be neatly constructed, and aesthetically pleasing.
Each team began by making small scale models out of paper and cardboard to test and evaluate their ideas, then went on to construct the final product. The results: all five teams were successful!
POLYGRAPH EXAMS IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Maine State Police Detective and polygraph examiner explained what the polygraph (lie detector) is used for and how it works. Senior Braylon Williams was connected to the machine and tried to lie to the class but his deception was shown and he couldn’t fool them.
