Posting is the act of the Teacher of Record posting their grades to the grading window.

During the Progress Report or Report Card grading window, Teachers will have the option to Post their grades.
When the grading window is open for Teachers to post, it is not a two-way street. The grades exist in the Teacher's gradebook. Posting, is the act of moving those current grade values to the appropriate grading window.
If changes are made to assignment grades after a Teacher has posted, they will need to repost.

Finalizing is the electronic signature stating that the Teacher has checked their grades for that course/section and they are accurate.

Teachers should only finalize once.
Once a Teacher Finalizes, they will not be able to repost. If changes are made, they will need their course/section unfinalized to make the appropriate changes.
ONLY the Teacher of record can Finalize grades. No one else can finalize for a Teacher.
