SEPI invites you to nominate yourself or your classmates for our first-ever Sanford Student Innovator Awards! That's right, we want you to share an innovative project, idea or action that you undertook this year. Announcements for the Awards will be made on the LAST DAY OF CLASSES (LDOC) at a fun end of the year outdoor picnic!

The Criteria are...
1. The project helps raise the profile of innovation or entrepreneurship at Sanford and/or community-at-large.
2. The student or team demonstrated leadership, creativity, or risk-taking.

Manager, Impact Investing (Research)

Summary

Echoing Green is hiring a Manager to expand the organization’s knowledge, thought leadership, and influence in the Impact Investing field. This new position requires a self-starter who can shape the scope and responsibilities of the role and be flexible as it evolves. Initially, the Manager will oversee the development and dissemination of a portfolio of research projects focused on Impact Investing as it relates to Echoing Green’s work to support social entrepreneurs. The Manager will identify and execute opportunities to disseminate the research in a variety of offline and online channels, including reports, blogs, and presentations at conferences and other meetings of relevant stakeholders. Ultimately, the Manager will drive Echoing Green’s Impact Investing strategy and ensure the organization maintains its thought leadership in the field.

The Manager will serve as Echoing Green’s internal expert on Impact Investing and proactively seek opportunities to work collaboratively with all members of Echoing Green’s team. In addition, the Manager will support Echoing Green’s Fellows through knowledge, programs, and tools that deepen their awareness. This position requires a versatile leader with prior experience in the Impact Investing field and a proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion. The top candidate will bring previous experience researching, writing, and disseminating knowledge in various online and offline formats. S/he must be a skilled relationship-builder with the ability to proactively identify and engage diverse stakeholders, internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Manage Echoing Green’s Impact Investing strategy, expanding the organization’s internal knowledge, external thought leadership and influence in the Impact Investing field
• Become Echoing Green’s go-to resource for Impact Investing, staying current with trends, assessing and sharing relevant information across the Echoing Green community
• Proactively develop relationships with diverse audiences, including investors, philanthropists, and social entrepreneurs
• Manage research projects from concept to completion by clearly defining the project scope, setting and meeting deadlines, and collaborating effectively with key stakeholders
• Conduct in-depth primary and secondary research on a broad range of topics related to Impact Investing and social entrepreneurship; write and disseminate research in a variety of online and offline formats
• Work closely with Echoing Green’s President to identify and implement opportunities to support the organization’s influence and thought leadership in the Impact Investing field
• Collaborate with all members of Echoing Green’s internal team and Fellows by providing technical assistance
• Solicit and secure funding to support Echoing Green’s ongoing work in Impact Investing

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience with at least 2 years in the Impact Investing field (Investing experience not required)
• A proven knowledge of the key trends and stakeholders related to Impact Investing
• Exceptional research, analytical, writing, and editing skills
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to proactively develop relationships with diverse audiences
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with experience managing research projects from conception to completion
• Experience distributing content via offline and online channels
• Demonstrated ability to be independent, flexible, and proactive
