TIGER TALK
STONEWALL TELL ELEMENTARY INTERNAL COMMUNICATION
11 September 2020
The act of remembering is so multifaceted. Remembering can be good/bad, correct/incorrect, passive/intentional, improved/diminished, and emotional/dispassionate. The infinite sophistication of our brain combined with the actions of our body and the decisions of our will impact what we each individually call memory. Simply put, the most repeated actions combined with the stronger, more frequent emotions will make up most of what you are able to remember. My encouragement is that you do as much good with the best intentions so that you more good to draw upon in your memory. Whatever negative feelings or ill-will or unforgiveness you are carrying to and from work, let it go. Or else your mind won't have the space or capacity to notice or store the good that's happening all around you. Deep Diver, the situation is better than it looks. You're doing better than you think you are. There people admiring you both near and from afar.
In the epic HBO series, Game of Thrones, the Three Eyed Raven represents the history and the memory for all beings in the world of Westeros. The Knight King (antagonist) is trying to destroy the Three Eyed Raven to achieve a perpetual state of death, lifelessness. If you're focusing on more negative than positive things, how would you characterize your existence? Mood? Overall assessment of your current circumstance?

"It's ironic how we often forget the things worth remembering,
but remember the things worth forgetting."

PTA
The election for this year's PTA board will likely be held virtually next Tuesday. If you or parents you know are willing to lead in this effort, please encourage them to be on the lookout for specifics. They must have been a paid member during the 2019-2020 school year to vote.
I charge the PTA with encouraging and supporting teachers as their primary mission. It's imperative that we support those who support us.
DEEP DIVERS
Still, you are doing much better than you think you are. Parents continue to comment positively about their scholar's experience with you during URL. Thank you for your talent and tenacity in breaking through barriers to continue engagement and instruction. Continue to take risks in your practice. Challenge each other within and without your team to achieve academic progress, exciting activities, and positive feedback. Use the Insights tab to measure the effectiveness of lessons and strategies. Define what world class remote instruction is for yourselves, your team, our school, this district, and society. Minute mindsets will disregard the previous sentence. Major mindsets are piqued by it. We'll see who's who soon.
SAFETY/SECURITY
Do not under any circumstances leave doors propped open or allow unapproved visitors into the building. All non-employees must be screened prior to entering the building at the main entrance. FCS has made it very clear that employees that fail to implement mandated COVID-19 and normal security protocols will be subject to discipline. In case you did not know, every facility is being monitored remotely and routinely by the district.
POLICIES/PROCEDURES
All of us are bound to the district's policies and procedures relative to multiple facets of our work and employment. Each individual employee is responsible for knowing and adhering to them. New policies/procedures arise at various times and for various reasons, COVID-19 being the most recent. Everyone has been provided the staff handbook, the R2W handbook, and access to FCS policies online. Be especially sure to review policies relative to attendance (i.e. reporting absences, CASE, Employee Express, paid/unpaid leave, required documentation)

If we keep celebrating the best in each other, we will produce even better.
