Largest Longevity Stipend in BISD History
Boerne ISD announced the largest staff longevity stipend in district history.
- All BISD teachers, nurses, and librarians will receive $1,500 each, and all other employees in permanent full-time and part-time positions, not including the Superintendent, will receive $1,000 each.
- “After giving nearly a 3.5% raise to all employees at the start of the school year, we are excited to announce the largest longevity stipend in BISD history to our hardworking and dedicated staff,” said Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Price. “Not knowing what the Texas Legislature will do during the current special session and considering this time of unprecedented inflation, we wanted to ensure our staff received a longevity stipend during the holidays, in addition to the raise at the beginning of the year. One of our district goals is to attract and keep the best staff that our children deserve. We hope the legislature will give additional funding to the school district so our staff can receive a much-needed pay increase which would also help towards our staff’s retirement.”
- Longevity stipends will be available for staff to pick up at the annual BISD Cookies and Cocoa Staff Appreciation and Toy Drive on Friday, December 1st from 8am-4pm at Boerne Academy. Employees who cannot attend Cookies and Cocoa will have their checks sent to their campus or department.
