Jesus came to Capernaum with his followers, and on the sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught. The people were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes. In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit; he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are–the Holy One of God!” Jesus rebuked him and said, “Quiet! Come out of him!” The unclean spirit convulsed him and with a loud cry came out of him. All were amazed and asked one another, “What is this? A new teaching with authority. He commands even the unclean spirits and they obey him.” His fame spread everywhere throughout the whole region of Galilee.

We’ve officially launched our 2023-2024 Education Assurance Survey!

Parents please check your email and fill out the survey to let us know how you think we’re doing. Your invaluable feedback will help our school, and all EICS schools, refine our faith-infused education and support for all EICS students and staff.

As Semester I is wrapping up, students should be returning their textbooks back to SILC. To avoid a "textbook replacement charge" please return all books when finished. We cannot hand out Semester II books until all other books are returned to the school.

We are open from 8am-4pm Monday through Friday. If you cannot make it in those hours, there is a "Book Drop" located outside the student door. The picture to the right shows you where to drop them. Please don't forget to put your name insdie the cover on a sticky note. Thank you :)

Hello from Mrs. Oikonen!

We had a great presentation last week called "Climate Clues". We learned about how glaciers are showing the effects of climate change and some of the things that are happening in Banff National Park to help protect the trees!

We have a short week this week. We have a Professional Development Day which means there is no school for students. Report cards go live this Friday! We have some exciting presentations coming up in February. We will be celebrating Valentine's Day on February 13 as February 14 is Ash Wednesday.
