MEET THE NEW NURSES

Julie Slotnick MSN,BSN,RN JMS Nurse

Ms. Slotnick graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. She worked in the insurance industry for several years before returning to school to pursue a degree in nursing. She attended the MGH Institute of Health Professions, where she became an RN in 2007 and then obtained her Master of Science in Nursing in 2008, focusing on pediatric primary care. Before working at Johnson Middle School, she worked as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 12 years at Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children. Karen Laracy, BSN,RN District Resource Nurse

Ms. Laracy received her Bachelor's Degree from Rhode Island College and has been a pediatric nurse for her entire nursing career. Throughout her career, she has worked in various settings. She worked as a school nurse in Foxborough Public Schools for six years and then as a Nurse Manager at Walpole Pediatric Associates for over ten years. She feels that being a school nurse is very rewarding and makes a positive impact on students every day. Ms Laracy grew up in Foxborough and is married with two adult children. She loves spending time with her family her two dogs, and traveling. She will be the district-wide school nurse.

Tina DiCicco BSN, RN ELM/FEENEY Nurse

Mrs DiCicco has been a nurse for 15 years. She has a BSN from Worcester State University. Most recently, she worked as a visiting nurse in Walpole and at a pediatric office in Wellesley. She has been a substitute nurse for Walpole Public Schools since 2020. Mrs. Dicciccio lives in Walpole with her husband, two daughters, and dog Cheeko.
