The Week in Review
Caverly's Pint-sized Panthers did a fabulous job with their evacuation practice last week, they were attentive and did their job of listening to trusted grown-ups and following instructions.
Thank you to the many families who were able to join us for the 3/4 Celebration of Learning. Families viewed learner's work from their poetry writing units.
I was completely impressed and proud of our learners on Friday as we honored those who died while serving at our Memorial Day Assembly. Their respect of the day was also noticed by a community/family member who made it a point to ask a faculty member to relay their observation of how well learners conducted themselves to me. Mrs. Allaire's class hosted the assembly, and with great articulation, helped us all to understand Memorial Day. Lots of fantastic Poetry was read by learners who submitted pieces to a contest in grades 4-6. Thank you families who sent in flowers. Many shared!
Several OV students spent time at Lothrop helping to clean up our grounds, they moved leaves from the walking path, stained our benches, washed our fences and cleaned out our flower beds and the green house. It was great to see some of our Lothrop Alumni!
Today at the Pittsford Memorial Day Parade, it was great to see many on bikes, some in fire trucks and a Boy Scout. Marching wiht the Pittsford Fire Department, the Cadet Program had at least 3 Lothrop Alumni and a Lothrop 6th grader. Our poetry winners read their pieces in front of the crowd assembled and the Fire House. Wonderful representation!
LEAP Fun!
Please Help Our Learners Return All Library Books by June 5th
