A Message from the Principal
Dear Sward Families,
Open House is tomorrow, Wednesday September 13 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. We are looking forward to seeing all of our Sward Families! Please remember that this time is set aside to meet your child's teachers and learn about what your child’s day at Sward looks like. Open House will begin at 6:30 in the main gym where I will be presenting an overview of important school information to families. Teachers will have two sessions to present the same information in order to make sure that you have the opportunity to visit one session and meet all of your child's teachers. Please feel free to attend the presentation time that works best for you. All non classroom teachers will be set up in the main gym for you to visit. Swaggle the Sward Eagle will also be at Open House making a guest appearance so make sure to snap a picture with him and your family 📸
OPEN HOUSE SCHEDULE
Principal Presentation- 6:30- 6:45 in the Main Gym
Classroom Visit #1- 6:50 - 7:10 in the Classroom
Classroom Visit #2- 7:25 - 7:45 in the Classroom
Non-Classroom Teacher Visits- Anytime between 6:50 - 8:00 in the Main Gym
Our Family Conferences are coming up on October 12th and 13th. At that time, there will be time set aside to specifically discuss the strengths or your child as well as any areas of concerns. If you have concerns prior to Family Conferences, please reach out to your child's teacher so the concerns can be addressed right away. However, we ask that you refrain from using the Open House time to address the individual and confidential personal concerns with your child's classroom teacher since there will be many other families present. We are very excited to see all of our Sward Families tomorrow at Open House!
Sincerely,
Suzanne Amra
Sward School Principal

Student Device Insurance
The student device insurance policy provides full replacement cost coverage and protects the item worldwide (on and off school grounds) for only $25/year. The policy will be transferred to any replacement device that your child may be issued. Without insurance D123 families are fully responsible for the costs associated with the repair/replacement of their student's device. Insurance coverage is for the device only and does not extend to the case or the charger.
Families of students in all grade levels can sign up for this insurance program by adding the optional “Student Device Insurance” fee through Skyward Family Access. You have until September 30 to purchase device insurance every year. Additional information about the student device insurance program and deductibles can be found at: https://d123.org/about/technology/student-device-insurance/
Please view either the written or video tutorial on how to add Chromebook / iPad insurance to your student's account.
