Informational Newsletter for Central Elementary Families
Hello November!
With November comes colder weather. On colder weather days, students will still go outside for recess (we only stay inside if the windchill is below zero). Please be sure that your child comes with a jacket, hat, gloves/mittens, and other cold weather gear when the temperature starts getting colder. Please be sure to write your child's name on coats and cold weather gear as clothing items get misplaced and lost easily. Our lost and found has grown exponentially. Putting names on clothing items helps us get the items back to their owners.
As the holidays approach, stress increases for a lot of families. If we can help support your family with a Thanksgiving meal or with Christmas gifts for your child(ren), please contact our counselors. We are more than happy to help assist and help provide for our students' families.

We are here to help and support, however we can. Your children are important to us and we want nothing but the best for them. As is always the case, please reach out to use if you have any concerns or questions.

Staff Professional Development
What do the teachers do during professional development days?
LETRS is grounded in the science of reading. LETRS provides teachers with the skills they need to master the fundamentals of reading instruction--phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and language.
Our teachers are skilled at teaching reading. LETRS training is giving our teachers more strategies to use to teach reading. We are always looking for new and effective ways to teach our students.
