LPS PACK Fun Run UPDATE
April 28, 2022
Day 4 Fundraiser Update
It's the final countdown! We are so close to reaching our goal of $20,000! Can we make it? Can we surpass it? How much MORE than $20,000 can we bring in for this great cause?
100% of all the proceeds go directly to Phase 2 of our Discovery Den! Click on the video below (posted from one teacher's perspective when her class was working in the Discovery Den yesterday!) to see what playing in the Discovery Den looks like!
"You may ask yourself, 'Why should I raise money for this Fun Run?' THIS. This is why! Our Discovery Den has been the highlight of our week in our classroom! The kids line up so fast when it is our Discovery Den day because they are so excited! Learning through play is our vision at LPS. The Discovery Den is our students' favorite way to engage in play-based learning! The conversations that are had, ideas that are sparked, and joy that occurs is magical. None of that would happen without our Discovery Den!"
We have 1 more day to collect donations. Last night, we put a challenge out to classes - the class in each grade level with the most money collected in just ONE NIGHT got a popsicle party today! Congratulations to the following classes: Mrs. Dameron, Ms. Duncan, Mrs. Hawkins, Mrs. Hovis, Mrs. Park, and Ms. Sahadi! Thanks so much for putting forth effort in gaining more donations last night!
Tonight's FINAL challenge is an individual challenge. The (3) individual students who bring in the most money TONIGHT will receive a special prize: Disc Jam! Check out the video below to see this game in action!
Also remember that any student who brings in a total of $20 in donations gets a ticket to a bounce house party tomorrow! The bounce house party will take place directly AFTER the students' Fun Run.
Don't forget- the PACK Fun Run takes place tomorrow (Friday, April 29). Students should wear tennis shoes and athletic clothes (tshirt in the color of their PACK!) and bring a water bottle so they can stay hydrated! Parents and guardians are welcome to attend during your child's grade level run time, if you would like to come and cheer on your kiddo! See the schedule below! (NOTE: If you plan to sign your child out after the Fun Run, you will need to sign out in the office. Parents are not allowed to attend the bounce house party, so if your child is bouncing, please make plans to sign them out and wait for them outside, as other parents will be entering for the next grade level's Fun Run during this time. Thanks!)
Thanks again for participating in our PACK Fun Run fundraiser!
Wishing you well,
Mrs. Patterson and Mrs. Ellison

Good afternoon, PACK families!
Happy Spring Break to you! We have had a great week with our Wolfpack but are looking forward to next week off - we know the students are too!
We wanted to bring your attention to a special fundraiser that we kicked off yesterday with our students but will continue through Spring Break and the week after - the PACK Fun Run! We are currently raising money to "add on" to our Discovery Den! The Discovery Den is a dedicated play-space in our school that students visit once a week to engage in collaborative, creative play. It's like having our very own children's museum in our school - and it's easily everyone's favorite part of the week! We currently have several exhibits in the Discovery Den, including a fire station, a farmer's market, a diner, a post office, a construction zone, and an animal hospital - just to name a few! These exhibits allow students to role play, explore, think critically, and solve problems with each other. They allow the opportunity for social skills development and expose students to future career paths based on their interests.
The purpose of the PACK Fun Run fundraiser is to raise money to "add on" to the Discovery Den - "Discovery Den Phase 2". Think: a brand new supermarket! An ice cream truck! An auto repair shop! These exhibits would greatly enhance the opportunities our Wolfpack has to engage in play in the Discovery Den.
You can help with this fundraiser - and you can start as early as now! Spring Break - what a great time to meet with family members and friends to ask for donations for our school. Read this newsletter carefully for more information - and please share the links that are posted on social media! Thanks in advance!
Wishing You Well,
Mrs. Patterson & Mrs. Ellison
Support Play at Liberty Primary!
Are you a business owner or know someone who is? We are looking for businesses to sponsor our Discovery Den too!
Tell me more...
- Fundraiser envelopes were sent home today (April 15).
- At the top of the envelope, there is a blank space - please write your student's name, teacher, and PACK color in this space in order for us to process receipts and return the envelope to the correct student each day.
- During Spring Break, ask friends and family members to contribute to our cause! There is an easy script included on the envelope for students to say when requesting donations: "Want to help our school? I am raising money so I can learn through play! Proceeds will go to LPS play initiatives like our Discovery Den!" Your child can tell them all about how much they like playing in the Discovery Den. There is also a QR code linked to the Discovery Den video that the individual can scan and watch in order to learn more about it!
- If the individual would like to make a donation, you will collect from them cash or check (made out to Liberty Primary School) - OR they can pay online through MySchoolBucks - direct link here: https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/prdembd?ref=00GLC10TP2O2VR1_ZZ5UFU800EST1GE
- Share our fundraiser on social media! Be sure to follow Liberty Primary School on Facebook - and when you see our posts about the PACK Fun Run fundraiser, share, share, share!
- Collect donations through Spring Break. When we return to school on April 25, continue collecting donations, but be sure to send the envelope to school DAILY in order for donations to be receipted.
- Your child will receive (1) wolf paw print for their PACK for every sponsor they get. We will have a graph in the rotunda throughout the week in order to see which PACK has received the most sponsors! We can't wait to see how much our PACKs will bring in for this cause!
