Music programs throughout Texas have the opportunity to be evaluated in UIL Concert & Sight-Reading each year. Ensembles are provided with a rating of I - V (I = Superior) based on assessment of skill mastery. An ensemble that receives a Superior rating in both Concert and Sight-Reading evaluation earns a "Sweepstakes" designation. Participation in performance events during the past year has been especially challenging during Covid. We are very pleased to report outstanding results from Seguin ISD Ensembles!!

5 ensembles earned superior ratings in concert evaluation and

excellent ratings in sight-reading

This marks the third consecutive year for this honor for Seguin ISD. Only 81 of the more than 1,200 Texas school districts received this distinction this year.

Congratulations to the Matador Colorguard on earning a Superior Rating for their performance in the Texas Educational Colorguard Circuit’s Virtual Contest on April 10th. All judges gave the program straight 1's!!! The Matador Guard is under the direction of Ms Heather Brown.

Seguin ISD Middle School Theatres (AJB & JBMS) will present "Shakespeare in the Park" on

Saturday, April 17, at 6:00 p.m. Seguin Outdoor Learning Center. Three plays

(about 30 minutes each) will be presented!!

Free admission!! Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy!!!

The Matador Band has released their summer schedule and preliminary fall information for students and families. Check it out on the Seguin Bands website and be ready!!

All band and dance students need a physical for participation in the fall. Physicals are $25. April 28 and July 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Seguin HS Mat House.
