FULLER FAMILY NEWS

From the Principal's Desk
Dear Fuller Elementary Families,
We hope everyone had a fantastic week and break, and are ready for the final 4 weeks of our fall semester. 2024 will be here before we know it!! Here are some important updates and events happening at Fuller Elementary:
**Pancake Breakfast and Photos with Santa - December 9th
Mark your calendars for December 9th! Fuller Elementary is excited to host our second annual Pancake Breakfast and Photos with Santa Benefit. Join us for a delicious breakfast and the chance to capture precious moments with Santa himself. The entrance fee is $5 at the door, and all proceeds will go towards supporting a Fuller Family in need during this holiday season.
**Toys for Tots Toy Drive - Spread Joy this Season
As we approach the holiday season, Fuller Elementary is proud to support the Toys for Tots toy drive. You can make a difference by dropping off new, unwrapped toys in the designated box located in the silo. Let's come together to bring smiles to children in need and make this season brighter for everyone.
**Holiday Parties - Come Celebrate
Classroom holiday parties are just around the corner. We will celebrate on December 20th with Pre-K, 1st, 3rd, and 5th and on December 21st with Kinder, 2nd, and 4th. Please be looking for information from your child's teacher for specific information. Both of these days are early release days as well. School will release at noon on these days.
Thank you for your ongoing support and participation in making Fuller Elementary a vibrant and caring community. Wishing you all a joyful and gratitude-filled month!
Remember, We are Fuller, We are Family!

ATTENDANCE
Here at Fuller, our campus wide attendance goal is 96%.
During the first nine weeks of school, five grade levels met or exceeded the campus' attendance goal.
Here at Fuller, we will continue to recognize attendance, engage students and families, monitor attendance data, provide early outreach and respond to barriers of attendance.
Families, please remember a habit of attendance is a school readiness skill. If your child is going to be absent, please notify your child's classroom teacher and our campus registrar sharrison@aubreyisd.net.

Arrival and Dismissal
*** Bikers must walk their bikes across crosswalks and on school property ***
We also ask that bike riders walk their bikes when on campus for safety of all.
Thank you for your attention to this.
Dismissal Issue
When the cars park in the red marked areas, vehicles exiting the car line cannot exit safely without coming out in the street. So to prevent any accidents, I will be placing 6 cones in the area. I have suggested to parents who parked there, to pull up to the school zone sign and park there.
I have included a map of the location with "NO PARKING IN RED AREAS" on the map.
Important Information
- Anyone entering the building MUST be prepared to show ID BEFORE entering
- IDs or car tags will be checked at dismissal for car and walk ups.
- Please label all jackets, lunch boxes, and water bottles.
- Transportation changes must be sent to FESTransportation@aubreyisd.net by 2PM daily.
- No visitors for lunch until after Labor Day.
- Instruction begins at 7:40 (students MUST be in seats by then)
- School day ends at 3:15
If you have any questions, email Mr. Smith at n.smith@aubreyisd.net

Attendance
Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance.
A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.
In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
