The Young People Shake Up Elections (History Proves It) video series from the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History shares 10 stories of young people shaping and changing elections throughout American history.
The accompanying Learning Lab collection shares resources about stories featured in the videos plus additional stories of young people shaking up elections.

Nat'l Geo Explorer Magazine available in English and Spanish -- FREE!
Explorer comes in six editions (K–5/6), each developed to meet students at their level. The digital version of the magazine features read-aloud text, games, and pop-up vocabulary. Each level of the digital version of Explorer magazine is fully translated into Spanish, including all maps, read-aloud text, videos and games, and access is FREE!
Science and Social Studies teachers: grant opportunity from National Geographic
The National Geographic Society recognizes that educators are pioneering new ways of teaching so that students can continue learning. The Society has launched an emergency fund for innovative educators who are designing instructional resources — whether in the classroom, teaching remotely, or a combination of the two. Applicants may use up to 100 percent of their budget as compensation for the time they devote to the proposed project, as well as the time of any co-creators. Details are available at this link.
