All parent-teacher conferences this week will be held on zoom. When you log in, you will be put in the waiting room. When the teacher is done with their previous conference they will let you in. A newsletter for conferences with all of the links will be coming tomorrow at 8am.

NEW INFORMATION

Student Engagement 4.51!

As a building we are celebrating! We are celebrating that our fall student engagement data is the highest it's ever been, and has placed us in the 96th percentile nationally! Below is the aggregated data for you to see.

We are going to celebrate by combining our earned movie time from our Valerius Fun Run with a PJ dress up day on the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving. We will use lunch time and quiet time in classrooms, as well as a small amount of instructional time to enjoy this and celebrate together!

Morgan Update

In the spirit of gratitude during the month of November I want to share that our special education associate, Morgan Carroll, is improving. She has moved from hospital care to rehabilitative care. She is breathing on her own, moving on her own, and starting to eat on her own. The family has expressed how much they appreciate the overwhelming support, prayers, and positive thoughts that they have received and felt from our Valerius community. We continue to stay in touch, and look forward to having her back at Valerius when she is fully recovered.

WATER BOTTLES

Due to Covid-19 we have no drinking fountains running in the building. We do have three bottle filling stations, so please remember to have your student bring their water bottle with them to school.

All orders ship home and book-only orders over $25 ship free. Profits go towards purchase of books for the library and your classrooms!

During the fair you’ll have a chance to donate a book to your child’s classroom with Teacher Wish Lists.

Remember every purchase benefits our school and helps develop a love of reading.

PROGRESS CARDS COMING SOON

Friday, November 13th is the last day of our first trimester. For those of you new to Valerius and UCSD, we divide our academic year into three trimesters for reporting.

You can expect your child's progress card to come in your email on Friday, November 20th.

Valerius is HIRING

We are in need of a part time general education associate. The schedule is from 9am-1:30pm. This person works with our youngest learners 1:1, as well as supports our lunch and recess schedules. If you know anyone interested, please share!
