Principal Report:
Dear Waukazoo,
What a great first few days of our school year! We have already had the opportunity to gather as a community a few times. We started by meeting together on the second day of school to celebrate our 150th anniversary of Wauakazoo Elementary! We took a school photo, raised the American Flag, and invited students and staff to join in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. During our second week of school, we had an assembly to celebrate this month's Family Root which is BELONG. We shared how important it is for all our students to feel like family at Waukazoo and that we BELONG together. Mrs. Foy led us through a school wide read aloud (with a fun skit with our teachers!) where we emphasized how each student has the opportunity to make their mark on Waukazoo. This week, we gathered together to commemorate Patriot Day on September 11. Classrooms paid tribute to the day by having each student place a flag in the front lawn of the school. We are honored to have the support of our PTA and parents to host this memorable day each school year. We hope your family has been enjoying the transition back to school!
Best regards and GO WO!

Physical Wellness with Ms. Krause:
Back to school means back for another great year of Physical Wellness class! I am Ms. Krause and could not be more excited to teach my students how to be active while having fun! These last few weeks we have been learning about our rules and procedures and getting to know each other. My students have already shown me they can be safe, respectful, responsible, and follow the rules so we can learn new sports and improve our skills. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by emailing me at krausem@westottawa.net Happy first full week of school!

Technology with Mrs. O'Brien
Hello & Welcome to the 2023-24 School Year!
My name is Pam O’Brien and I am the “other” Technology teacher at Waukazoo! I teach in three different buildings. I’m at Waukazoo on Thursdays. This year, I’ll have students in Ms. Lang, Mrs. Tyler, Mrs. Alderink, Mrs. Klinger, Miss Pustover, and Mrs. Foy’s classes.
To keep you informed about our adventures in Technology, I’ll be using a website. You can access that site by clicking here, or by typing bit.ly/MrsobrienTech into a web browser. There you will find information about our learning, pictures and videos, and links to sites your child can visit from home. I make updates every two weeks. Be sure to visit the site and bookmark it so you can return often!
I’m looking forward to working with you and your child! Wishing you a great school year!
Mrs. O’Brien
