I enjoyed our Potluck Fellowship at Corn Park on Sunday night. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the fellowship was good for my soul. You’ve heard me say often that God’s Family is one of His best gifts to us - I believe that whole heartedly. I am grateful to belong to His Emmanuel Baptist Family. God often uses your presence and friendships to encourage my soul.

We leave for Falls Creek next Monday. Thank you for generously providing scholarships for our students! Pray for them. Pray for our sponsors. Pray for God to stir their hearts and raise their awareness of His value. Pray that He would call them to deeper commitment and new ways to serve Him.

After Falls Creek, I am going to take a couple of weeks of vacation. While I’m out of the pulpit, I’ve asked Pastor Craig to do a 3 week series - last I heard, he will be taking us through 2 Peter. Would you pray for me while I’m out? The past 8 months of ministry have been extra taxing for me and Carey and we need some time away together to relax and recharge. Pray that God will grant me a renewed vision for His purposes for EBC in the coming years.
