Dear E.O. Green Families,

The end of May is a busy time of this academic month. Here are some reminders:

• Textbooks- This week, GREEN is collecting student textbooks. Please remind your student to bring to campus the language arts and history books. Thank you for your support.

• This week, May 24-28, all students are completing the STAR Mathematics and Language Arts assessments in lieu of the CAASPP. Please ensure that your student will be on time and well-rested to complete these assessments.

• Congratulations to Arleth Pablo. The MEP recognizes Arleth as the 1st place winner for the 2021 speech contest.

She will be recognized this coming Saturday in the virtual annual MEP Family Conference. Arleth's accomplishment makes EO Green and the HESD proud! Congratulations to her and her family.

• Families, you are invited to participate in the upcoming GradNation and CLAVE parent workshops. These are great opportunities taking place monthly online and in the comfort of your home. Thanks for participating! Access the link and information below.

• HES District Office sent you information about the Hueneme at Home Digital Learning Academy Registration Form.

For the 21-22 school year, HESD will be offering a limited number of spaces in the Hueneme at Home Digital Learning Academy for students in grades kindergarten through 6th. Grades TK, 7th and 8th will not be offered next year. Selection for Hueneme at Home Digital Learning Academy will be based on a lottery from applications received between May 18-June 1. Applications received after June 1st will not be included in the lottery and will be placed on a wait list after those students who were in the lottery, but were not selected.

Please complete the registration form below to register your child for the 2021 HESD Hueneme at Home Digital Learning Academy. If you have more than one student, you must complete a separate registration form for each student.

• 8th grade Parents, you have time to encourage your student to complete classwork and improve grade marks to earn the privilege to participate in the promotion celebrations, June 16 Cohort A and June 17 Cohort B. The GREEN Staff realizes that this school year has been difficult for learning and teaching. The 8th-grade students at risk of not participating in the promotion activities due to low academic standing took home a parent letter for you to sign. It provides you information on how your student still has an opportunity to participate. Please see the link to it below. The final check of student academic grade marks, behavior and attendance, is June 1, 2021. Letters will be mailed home on June 3, 2021.

Students are encouraged to wear uniforms, but non-uniform attire is optional if you have outgrown your school uniform. Please review the guide below. The first two pages describe the uniform policy and the third page describes the non-uniform dress code policy and items to avoid wearing on campus.

Future Trio Students,

Are you interested in joining TRIO? TRIO is a program offered at EO Green to help support students through their education. Students will receive important information about high school and college with consistent guidance over the years. If you are interested in TRIO, please fill out the form as soon as possible. Students already enrolled in TRIO don't need to fill out an application.
