Dig out those bell bottoms and tie dye t-shirts because we're getting GROOVY for our dance tonight!

It is from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm and is $5.00 at the door.

Please join the NJHS, RUBIES, and TIN Men in collecting non perishable food items and toiletries for the homeless. The grade level that collects the most individual items will earn TWO DAYS of free seating at lunch time (the principals will pick the days). The last day to bring in items is December 6th! The collection boxes can be found on the stage in the cafeteria.

Coach McClurg will be returning to the field this spring as head coach of the LMS girls soccer team. After a successful 20 year career as head coach of the EC Glass girl’s team he retired in 2018 but has ended his brief retirement excited about the opportunity to coach at his alma mater. While at Glass he coached such notable alumni as current Lynchburg University player Amanda Wigboldy, former player and coach Tate Royer, and Dessi Dupuy an All American at LC where she won a national championship.

Darien played his high school soccer at EC Glass under former coach Chip Berry graduating in 1985. His accreditation includes a National, state and youth license with the United Soccer Coaches Association and his D license with US Soccer. Currently he teaches AP psychology and US Government at EC Glass. He has coached travel soccer serving as a head coach or as an assistant at every age level on both the girls and boys side and also served as the director of girls soccer. This fall marked over 30 years that Coach McClurg has been involved with soccer in Lynchburg as either a player, official, coach or director, He is incredibly excited to be joining the Jaguar staff this spring!

Our new girls basketball coach is Drew Flowers; he comes to us from many years of coaching both boys and girls soccer and basketball. Drew graduated from UNC Greensboro and has coached both at the collegiate level and the middle and high school levels. We are really excited to have Coach Flowers on our staff.

Thank you to all who came out and supported the LMS Library Media Program by shopping at the Book Fair. As always, our LMS family made it a success. A special thanks to Ms. Shelley Stone who came in and helped with our Donuts with Grown-ups book fair crowd; very much a blessing! (Sorry I didn't think ahead and ask for help during the Muffins in the Morning event. I appreciate all of your patience if you had to wait in line during that time on Monday:)
