the OUUC spark

Recently a friend shared with me a recording by singer and songwriter Jacob Collier. Jacob is a very talented young musician with an amazing ear and an extraordinary ability to create music in community. This recording was made at the Heritage & Arts Centre in Bow, London, when Jacob invited a group of fans to meet him to make a special recording of his new single, “Little Blue.”

I’m sharing the recording with you in this month of love—love of music, love of making music together, love of the earth and sky and sea, love of the dark and the light.

Be sure to watch to the end to see what magic a choir can create together.

We have guest chefs, Penny Chatfield and Bill Arensmeyer, leading a take over of the Thursday dinner this week. All are welcome for food and fellowship, a donation is accepted to help pay for the food.

We do still need volunteers to help with setting up tables and chairs and with clean up - if you can help, email Rev Sara.

Following the Community Dinner at 5:30 pm, there are many activities at 6:30 pm: Action Hour, the Buddhist group, and the Kid Citizens class. At 7:00 pm there is the UU Pagan Group.

In this week's Tiny Little News Show, hear from the Tech Team and get a great idea for using muffin tins at the chili cookoff!
