Week of October 17, 2022
Message from Mrs. Reams
Randolph Families,
Thank you to all of our 4th and 5th grade families who volunteered their time this past Friday to make our 2nd annual "Task Card Tailgate" a HUGE success.
Congratulations to the following roadrunners for being selected as winners in their categories for the Fire Safety Poster making contest. They were all honored publicly last weekend. Way to go Caeson, Lilah, Alexandra and Alex!!!
Would you like an October break added to our GCPS calendar? If selected as the calendar option moving forward, an intersession option would be available to students that week, but not required. Please take a look at both options (attached below) and share your feedback here: https://forms.gle/zdHVc4Nc6SqSzmik9

How can students be referred for gifted screening?
A teacher or a parent may refer a child for gifted screening. If your child exhibits gifted behaviors and is performing above level, you or your child’s teachers may refer your child as a good candidate. The fall testing window opens October 3rd and closes October 31st.
Go to Goochland County Schools Gifted Page. Here you will find the Gifted Referral Process and the Initial Referral Form. This form is due to Randolph Elementary by 3pm on October 31st.
Please contact egemmill@glnd.k12.va.us with questions.
- If you need more car tags please email roadruunners@glnd.k12.va.us *you need them for car rider, all after school activity pick ups and in case of an emergency (this will help with safety & efficiency in case of an emergency)
- Save the date for parent/teacher conferences on October 24th. Teachers will share a sign up in the upcoming weeks. Conferences are from 12:00 - 7:30pm for your planning purposes. *the last conference for most teachers will be at 7:00pm.
- November 8th (Election Day) is a remote learning day for students. More info to come as we get closer.
