Andrea Conner, BHS Principal
Hello Bulldog Families.
Next week will be an exciting week for BHS students as they will be gearing up for all of the Homecoming festivities. We’ve witnessed creative Homecoming dance invites and have watched some of our students share their potential options for dresses. It’s sure to be a fun-filled week!
There are a few items of interest to note below. Please take a moment to read through these and pay attention to the September 14 high school PTO meeting. We are fortunate to have some parents who serve on our PTO and provide many opportunities for both our students and our staff. Please consider joining the PTO and being a part of this supportive group. They are always looking for more members!
This week, I saw something pretty cool. One of our students dropped his entire bag and everything spilled into the hallway. One of our young ladies, who was also in the crowded hallway, took the time to stop and help him collect his belongings. Sometimes, I think we adults can learn a little from some of our younger people. In a world where it feels like everyone is too busy to help each other, this young person noticed and helped someone who needed it.
Enjoy the weekend, and let us know if you have any questions.
In service to our Bulldogs.

STUDENT SHOUT OUT
Senior Linnea Winkler named September Rotary Student of the Month
Senior Linnea Winkler was named September Rotary Student of the Month for Batavia High School. Linnea is a natural student leader who exhibits the highest level of character while exuding amazing positivity. She was assigned the position of President of NHS based upon input from NHS members as well as the entire teaching staff. She is also a leader on the volleyball team where she’s known for keeping her teammates motivated, even when they are behind. She takes her academics seriously, is involved in BPA, and truly represents what it means to be a Bulldog! Congratulations, Linnea, for receiving this recognition and for your positive representation of Batavia High School.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING
If it is necessary for your student to take medication while in school, a parent/guardian must bring the medications to our Nurse’s Office. Please do not send medications with your students or ask them to bring the medication to the office. Thank you for helping us with this matter.
