May/June Issue
A Message from Our Principal
“You are a letter from Christ...This ‘letter’ is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.” 2 Cor. 3:3 NLT
Most of us do not go a day or even a few hours without checking texts or email. It’s fast, it’s free (so to speak), and it’s practical. But don’t you just love it when you go to the mailbox, and in the US Mail is a letter from a good friend or a loved one? Doesn’t that make your day? A real letter is special because you know the other person thought about you and went to the trouble to purchase a stamp and handwrite a precious note just for you. That beats an email any day, doesn’t it?
It has been said that sometimes we are the only ‘Bible’ a person will ever read. We are a letter from Christ. When you are sharing your faith via your everyday relationships, always try to go the extra mile with people. Go beyond “fast, free, and practical.” Be more than an email: you are a precious letter from Christ - take the time to let others know how loved and treasured they are to you and to our loving and gracious Lord and Heavenly Father!
As we quickly approach the upcoming summer, remember to cherish every minute and every encounter with others; as it has been said ‘Share the Gospel message of Jesus every day, and if necessary use words!’ Have a blessed and relaxing summer with family and friends. We look forward to next school year with you here at Red Hill Lutheran.
Blessings,
Dr. Paul Marquardt, Principal
