#BCCC Accepted
The Centennial School District is the first local district to enter into a partnership with Bucks County Community College, providing automatic acceptance into BCCC for all 2023 graduates. Bucks County Community College has many traditional associate degree programs, as well as workforce training programs which do not require a student to work toward a degree, but can lead to meaningful employment. Students in the Class of 2023 were provided with an opportunity to visit BCCC on May 22, 2023, to learn more about the opportunities available to them through Centennial’s partnership with Bucks County Community College.
Students were excited to tour both the traditional Newtown campus to learn about Associate Degree Programs as well as the Lower Bucks Epstein Campus (Bristol) designed to provide Workforce Development for students looking for on the job training for careers currently in demand. Students were very engaged and had an opportunity to try some of the technology activities while touring the brand-new state-of-the-art Center for Advanced Technologies (CAT). Located on the Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks in Bristol Township, the Center houses advanced manufacturing training and workforce programs.
Students met with many BCCC faculty and staff, including the President of Bucks County Community College, on-site academic advisors, and the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs. Students were applauded for their educational efforts and journey thus far and were given a roadmap to steer into their future since they have already been accepted (#Accepted- t-shirt to prove it!) Next steps? Submit transcripts, take placement tests, and fill out FAFSA to be eligible for Scholarships for class of 2023.
We wish all of our students well in their future endeavors and encourage them to work hard, get involved, and have fun wherever they go after WTHS!
Congratulations Goes To

K9 Officer Visits Willow Dale
The Willow Dale third grade students had a special visit from the Warminster Police Department. Officer O'Neill brought his K9 officer Bolt to teach the students all about his hard work and what it takes to be a K9 officer in the unit! Our grade level read the nonfiction text, "Aero and Officer Mike", so we compared the differences and similarities between the real-life officers and the ones in our book!
Cheers & Honors for Varsity Softball
Congratulations to the William Tennent Varsity Softball team for making it to the PIAA playoffs for the 4th straight year and for winning the Freedom Division for the 3rd straight year. With an overall record of 13-6, Tennent ranked 14th in the PIAA D1 6A bracket and hosted Conestoga, ranked 19th, on Monday 5/22.
The Team, led by coaches Rich Clark, Frank Hubmaster, and Ron Reimel began the season without 3 starters from the previous year due to season-ending injuries, yet still rallied together as a team for a great winning season. Despite an amazing comeback effort on Monday, the girls were unable to advance to the next round, being narrowly defeated by Conestoga, 6-5. Special recognition to our seniors for their efforts and for an exciting end to the season!
Go Blue Go Silver
Today, Davis had their field day! Some of the highlights of the day were the tug of war and the 5th grade kickball game. The weather was beautiful, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Great sportsmanship was on display! Shoutout to Mr. Lauch for a fun filled day and to the WTHS volunteers who were awesome!
Billy's Moooving to Willow Dale
On Friday, May 12th, the Bishop Dairy Farmers from Ensenada Holsteins came to present to Willow Dale's third graders. The Red and White Holstein calf, Billy also joined in on the fun! The third graders learned about where milk comes from, what it is like to be a dairy farmer in Pennsylvania, and the life cycle of a cow. Mr. Bishop then answered questions from the students. What a memorable learning experience!
Student Art Bought
Each year, the Superintendent selects one piece of art from Showcase Night held at William Tennent high school to be displayed in the administration building. This year an oil painting, titled "The Seed," by student artist Alexandra Tsishchanka, was selected as the purchase prize, and the artist was compensated with a check for $250 at the May 23rd School Board Meeting.
Alexandra, joined by her teacher Rena Friedant, explained to the members of the School Board, CSD cabinet and the audience, the inspiration behind the art she created. Congratulations to Alexandra and all of Centennial's amazing artists for inspiring everyone around you.
Annual Steamboat Race 2023
On May 23rd, the Log College and Klinger Middle School STEM programs convened at the John Fitch Museum at Craven Hall for their annual steamboat race. Through a grant sponsored by the Centennial Education Foundation, students build steamboats using a variety of materials. They use the design process to figure out which materials and shapes to use for their floating vessel. Water is superheated inside a copper coil to produce steam, giving the boat its forward thrust. The kids celebrated their achievement with a pizza party and the students at Klinger finally bested their peers at Log College to take home the much-coveted steamboat championship plaque! Special thanks to School Director Mr. Sadowski for the pictures!
And That's A Wrap
Log College wrapped up the Spring Sports season this week with softball, baseball, track & field, and girls soccer all competing one last time in the annual Log vs. Klinger bouts. An individual note: John S. broke a Log College school record by four seconds, finishing the mile in 5 minutes and 7 seconds (5:08:78).
Seeking Volunteer Firefighters
Warminster, Southampton, Ivyland, & Hartsville Fire Companies spent their lunchtime meeting with WTHS students to discuss opportunities for volunteer firefighters. Students as young as 14 years old can join as junior firefighters and work towards becoming senior firefighters over time through training, free of charge. Students have the ability to earn national certifications and are well prepared for future careers in firefighting, EMT, law enforcement, dispatch, and emergency management, as well as gain valuable skills and experience useful in other career areas. For more information on volunteer firefighter opportunities, please visit www.becomeavolunteer.info
Food Truck Extravaganza at Klinger
8th grade Family and Consumer Science students took their entrepreneurship skills to a whole new level. Students were tasked with creating a food truck and a delicious menu to accompany it. Groups evaluated their target markets and then analyzed their Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) of owning a food truck. Finally, they came up with a creative Instagram post and logos to attach to their trucks. The results were awesome!

CENTENNIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT eFOLDER
Each year, more and more people and organizations are turning to our District to help get the message out about various activities, events, fundraisers, etc. The intent of this process is to support student achievement and to provide mutual assistance and benefit through shared information. Our district spends a great deal of time collecting, reviewing, and posting flyers to the District eFolder. The District no longer is posting eFlyers to any social media outlets or the District cable channel. You may refer to Policy 913 for additional information.
