What's Happening at Trollwood?
Excitement is building around Trollwood this week! Sun Celebration is right around the corner which means the Trollwood Academy and Totally Trollwood Academy students had their Share Days this week. Our students gathered to show off what they have learned in their classes and perform for their peers on Thursday and Friday. You won't want to miss your chance to see the amazing performances for yourself at Sun Celebration next Wednesday, June 28!
Singin' in the Rain got its first rainfall this week as Jeff's Plumbing came buy to set up the rain system! Check out a video of the first rain test in this newsletter. Plus, the cast and orchestra are gearing up to get together for the first time at sitzprobe next week!
The second sessions of ArtSpark held their performances last Friday at Carl Ben Eielson Middle School and the third-and-final June sessions are set to take the stage this Friday back at Carl Ben Eielson! There are still openings for students to sign up for the sessions on July 17-21 and July 24-28 which will be right here at Trollwood!

But on Share Days, the students got to perform for their peers and show off everything they've been working on this summer! Everybody has a blast performing and cheering on their friends. Singin' in the Rain - Buy Your Tickets!
The “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time” is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, from their original award-winning screenplay in Singin’ in the Rain. Each unforgettable scene, song, and dance is accounted for, including the show-stopping title number, complete with an onstage rainstorm! Hilarious situations, snappy dialogue and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards make Singin’ in the Rain the perfect entertainment for any fan of the golden age of movie musicals. Singin’ in the Rain has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline – the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item but, behind the scenes, things aren’t always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina’s squeaky voice might be the end of her career in “talking pictures” without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.

Makin' it Rain!
The rain hit the stage this week! Thank you to Jeff's Plumbing for bringing the magic of a real-life rain storm to the Bluestem Amphitheater! The team from Jeff's Plumbing worked all day on Wednesday, June 21 to get the rain system set up and ready to Sing in the Rain!
Behind the Scenes
In addition to seeing the rain come to the stage, the Hollywood hills are coming to life on stage as well! Our very own Hollywood sign is almost finished, painting is well underway on the stage, and the lighting and sound crews are bringing the bright lights and big sound of the talkie film era to life! Check out photos below.
Would you like to help build the set? There are volunteer opportunities for scenic construction every Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Learn more and sign up here!
