UPDATE - MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2021

We hope that you are all staying safe and warm after this catastrophic ice storm. We want to update you on how schools will reopen this week. Schools will be closed for ALL LCPS Students on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 with no virtual learning.

On Wednesday, February 24 and Thursday, February 25, all LCPS Students in Group B will report to school. All other LCPS Students will be virtual those two days, and ALL LCPS Students will be virtual on Friday, February 26.

On Monday, March 1 and Tuesday, March 2, all LCPS Students in Group A will attend school. And of course, Group B will attend Wednesday, March 3 and Thursday, March 4. The hybrid A/B schedule will continue this way moving forward.

School hours for our elementary schools will be from 8:50 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. School hours for middle and high school will be from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• Canvas will remain the Learning Management System across all scenarios. Please log in on virtual days to complete assignments given by your teacher. Continue to take advantage of all opportunities offered by your teacher, and continue to reach out for support.
• Check here for Canvas Tutorials as needed.
• PowerSchool is the actual record for grades and attendance.
• Parents, any transportation that you can provide for your child, to and/or from school, would help our school system to operate more smoothly during this challenging time.
• Students will need to bring their fully charged device and charger to school daily.
• Students, please wear masks. Mitigating strategies will be in place at all schools.
• Students who wish to remain virtual may do so.

If you bring your child to school, the earliest they can be dropped off is 8:25 a.m. School hours will be from 8:50 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Students whose parents are transporting them to school should be dropped off at the parent loop.

If you bring your child to school, the earliest they can be dropped off is 7:30 a.m. Car riders need to be dropped off at door #2 prior to 8:00 a.m. If you arrive after that time, you will need to come to the main office. School hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
