The Millard Board of Education has unanimously chosen Dr. John Schwartz as the next superintendent. Dr. Schwartz is the current superintendent of the Norris School District. Prior to this role, Dr. Schwartz has served as an Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum

and Instruction, a high school principal, assistant principal, Director of Secondary Education,

and social studies teacher for the Papillion La Vista, Bellevue, and Seward School Districts. In

addition to his work with PK-12 public schools, Dr. Schwartz is an adjunct graduate instructor

for Doane University. Dr. Schwartz holds a bachelor’s, two master’s, education specialist, and a doctoral degree from Doane University. He is a graduate of Waverly High School. He and his wife, Laura, have two children. Dr. Schwartz will begin in July. Dr. Sutfin will retire at the end of June after thirty-three years in education.

Millard's wrestling coaches surprised Dr. Jim Sutfin with a singlet printed with the Millard mural. They honored him for his upcoming retirement and for his strong support of Millard's wrestling programs.

Millard North Middle School Assistant Principal Anna Thoma has been selected as the Nebraska Assistant Principal of the Year by the Nebraska State Association of Secondary School Principals.

Andersen Middle School, Black Elk and Upchurch Elementary Instructional Music Teacher Haley Allen has been honored with the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association 2022 Jack R. Snider Outstanding Young Band Director Award.

Millard North High School Language Arts Teacher Sabrina Denney Bull has been honored with the Excalibur Award for Excellence in serving the Forensics' community.
