MTS Community,
We are excited our students are engaged in learning and as professionals we are looking at student data. MTS teachers are meeting weekly to collaborate on student's academic progress and talking about best teaching strategies to ensure a quality education. MTS functions as a Professional Learning Community to make sure all students learn at high levels.
The guiding questions the MTS teachers focus on when meeting as a collaborative team are the following:
- What do we want all students to know and be able to do?
- How will we know if they learn it?
- How will we respond when some students do not learn?
- How will we extend the learning for students who are already proficient?
Important Information:
Tuesday, February 20, 2024- School will be in session. This is a make-up day for December 8, 2023.
Holidays/Important Dates:
Monday, February 19, 2024- Presidents Day
This month,sćapac (willow), teaches us about flexibility. Willow is good medicine when we are feeling stuck. It is used both internally & topically to move immobile joints. Willow reminds us we can be flexible when we are resisting change or are feeling willful. Just as willow branches bend but do not break, so too can we be open to new perspectives and remain true to ourselves.
The Mountain to Sound Program is going strong! We can’t wait to incorporate 1st and 3rd Grade later in the year.
