Mission Control Updates #16
January 13-17, 2025
What a week to start 2025!
- Kudos to everyone for hitting the ground running after winter break! Your energy and dedication made this first week a success.
- Monday's one-hour early release PLC was focused and impactful—great job collaborating to set the tone for the 2025!
- Wednesday's two-hour early release PLC, safety meetings, and SBLT work showed how seamlessly we can juggle priorities to keep our school safe and effective. Got some more time to PLC together!
- A big shout-out to everyone who participated in the Behavior Fair—your engagement will make a huge difference for our students!
- Let's celebrate how we came together as a team this week, showing what #TeamVita is all about.
Looking Ahead 🚀
- Next week, we’ll continue building on this momentum. Bring your A-game because we're making big moves!
- Plus, don’t forget we have a three-day weekend to look forward to in honor of MLK Day. You've earned it!

Something to Think About
Routines and Procedures
Which core procedures (e.g., entering the room, lining up, requesting help, transitioning between activities) are most essential in my classroom, and what step-by-step approach will I use to teach, practice, and reinforce them?
Physical Arrangement & Environment
How will I arrange my classroom (desks, materials, learning centers) to promote smooth transitions and easy access to resources, and how will I explicitly teach students to move within that environment?
Monitoring & Reinforcement
What strategies will I use to observe whether students are following our established procedures, and how will I provide prompt feedback or re-teaching when expectations aren’t met—or celebratory recognition when they are?
This is your birthday song, it isn't very long! Happy Birthday!
