Fancy Nancy Word of the Week
- Climate: weather conditions in an area over a period of time
As an IB school, we recognize students for demonstrating character traits from our IB learner profiles. Our character traits are:
risk-taker, inquirer, knowledgeable, balanced, open-minded, communicator, caring, thinker, and principled.
This month, we are focusing on being open minded.
In our classrooms, we have been discussing how we can be caring
Try this at home: After reading a book, spend some time considering how the people in the book acted. Was someone in the book caring? All of the time or just some of the time? Were all of the characters in the book caring or just some of them? Some books to consider:
Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse by Kevin Henkes
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
Yertle the Turtle by Dr. Seuss
The Grouchy Ladybug byEric Carle
Important Transportation Information
- No changes of transportation can be accepted over email. Changes during the school day must be made in writing to the office and received by 1:30 each day.
• Any kids staying after school for clubs must have a written transportation change for that day. Please send a note EACH DAY that they are staying for ASP enrichment. This cuts down on confusion if there is ever a substitute teacher in the class.
Thank you!
There is SO much amazing information on there!!

Stay Healthy and Happy
Please encourage your children to wash their hands thoroughly (tops of hands and in between fingers) or utilize hand sanitize after sneezing or using Kleenex. We have had a few students who have had stomach “bugs” and colds. Washing hands is one of the most efficient and easiest ways to stay healthy!!
