We are very excited to announce the dates of our 2023 OLR Winter/Advent Concert. In order to accommodate all families in our gymnasium we are inviting families by last names to one of the times listed below. If you are unable to make the day and time allotted for your last name, please come to the other day so that you can still enjoy the show in person.

Please note that ALL STUDENTS in grades 1-4 will be performing on BOTH DAYS. Kindergarten and Pre-K students will only perform on the day that aligns with the day or time that they are at school. This is also the day that Kindergarten and Pre-K parents will attend the performance. Please note that if you are unable to attend the concert in person, you will still have an opportunity to watch and celebrate your child’s performance digitally as the dress rehearsal on Monday, December 18th, 2023 will be recorded. The link to the recording will be sent out via email by classroom teachers.

Advent Concert Parent Volunteers:

School Council is in need of parent volunteers to lend a hand in decorating for our upcoming Advent concerts. Join us on Friday, December 15th, at 9:00 am. Follow the link below to sign up. Your time and assistance are immensely valued.

Teachers regularly input assessments and comments into our online reporting program called Schoology. For more information about Schoology, links to log in, and instructions on how to download the app and access your child's information, please visit our the webpage using the following link: Schoology.

We encourage parents to check Schoology regularly to see their child's progress. If you require any support with Schoology, please reach out to your child's teacher.

We are still recruiting volunteers to help decorate the gym for the Advent Concerts. If you would like to volunteer to help, please let the front office know, sign up on the google document linked below, or email Stephanie at eolrschoolcouncilchair@gmail.com. Our team will meet Friday, December 15th at 9:00 AM at the office.

Hot Lunch

January Hot Lunch orders are due this FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15th!

GRADE 3 Parents - we are calling on you for help with our January Hot Lunches.
Please contact eolrshotlunches@gmail.com if you are available to help or have any questions.

JANUARY Menu:
Edo Japan, January 12th - a kid favourite! Teriyaki beef or chicken stir frys, veggie bowls, and sushi is being offered. Gluten free options available.
Soup & Chili, January 19th - parent volunteers will cook warm comfort food made in-house at the school. A choice between chicken noodle soup or chili will be offered.
Papa John's Pizza, January 26th - Large slices of cheese, pepperoni, Hawaiian, or gluten free pizzas with a juice box are being offered.

Fundraising
Don't forget to knab some Nexsource Funtastic Family Passes as stocking stuffers for your whole family this year! Due date to order is Friday, December 15th. These passes are sold with reduced admission for anyone in your family to enjoy any drop-in activity at the Nexsource Centre and they do NOT expire! $10 from every booklet sold comes back to our OLR students.
