Instructional Decisions with iReady
Using reports from iReady diagnostic to drive instruction.
Iready are you??
Iready is an adaptive software program that supports student success
with the Ready Math & Reading curriculum. This session will focus on locating and
interpreting multiple reports as a result of the required diagnostic screening.
Learn how to group students by need, communicate results with parents, and
more.
Let's take a look under the hood.....
Diagnostic Results
After students have taken an assessment this is where you look to see the results.
Explore Instructional Groups
Here you will see the grouping of your students based on the assessment results.
You can click on each group to find out more information such as:
Instructional Priorities
Recommendations for Teacher-Led Instruction
Resources (these are hyperlinked).
Looking at Projected Growth
Once you have pulled up the instructional grouping report you can click on each child's name in that group. Once you click on the child you can view their growth report. This will show typical growth vs. stretch growth.
Online Instruction
Monitoring i-Ready Online Instruction is an important step in responding to your students’ needs. Without this step you students will not be getting the most out of their iReady experience. It is best practice to set aside planning time once a week to review your students’ Online Instruction data and familiarize yourself with how to monitor Online Instruction.
Time on Task
This is the number that Mrs. Nichols is looking at when we run Iready reports. This number needs to be at 45 minutes for each student. Click "Monitor Online Instruction" to see each students online overview. You want to pay close attention to yellow caution and red Xs.
Click on the child's name that has the caution sign or red x to see what issues they are having so that you can remediate BEFORE turning on their domains.
Make note of what domain they have failed and what grade level that skill falls under. This is important when locating materials within iReady to help remediate this skill.
Below is a form that can help you keep track of this each week.
Where to find tools for remediation
Click on assess and teach at the top of your iReady screen.
Next you will select "Tools for Instruction"
Now you choose the grade and subject you are looking for. Remember it might not be the current grade they are in if they failed a domain. Then you click on the blue link to open those materials.
Click below to view and example
Now for a little fun!
Click on help at the top....I know..I know...you hate clicking that...trust me on this one!
Then click Explore Iready central.
Look on the left for this button
Here you will find a "Pinterest" type of place for all things iReady and ideas for incentives, competition and much much more.
