This event provides a perfect opportunity for parents and guardians to connect with our dedicated educators, gain insights into classroom experiences, and join hands in fostering a successful academic journey for our students. Your active participation is a crucial part of our collaborative spirit, and we can't wait to see you there! We look forward to welcoming you and sharing the great work happening at our school.
LETS GO COLTS!!!

Free Parent Education Classes! - Clases Gratuitas de Educación Parental!
Strong Start offers free parent education classes and support services to help parents with their kids’ behaviors (tantrums, routines, anxiety) and the overall stress of parenting. Respect, habits, expectations, and consequences can be demanding for everyone in the family to follow. We focus on building prosperous and resilient children by strengthening the parent-child relationship and preserving families. The only eligibility factors are for the families to live in Travis or Williamson County and to have at least one child between 0-11 years old. The one-on-one classes are conducted in person, over the phone, virtually weekly, or every other week depending on the parent’s preference.
Our education services can be delivered to parents in-home, in a convenient public location, or in a group setting. We use evidence-based curricula, and clients participating in parent education may have access to the following:
- 1:1 positive social and emotional development lessons for a child between 3-5 years old
- Mental health services, which include counseling and more specialized classes for parents
- Crisis intervention services, including immediate needs assistance
Fatherhood Specialists are also available to support male caregivers with parent education.
