SSS WEEKLY UPDATE

We are always looking to grow and make SSS the best place for our families. Please take some time to complete this survey so we can learn from you!

For those students who would like to dress up on Halloween at school, they are more than welcome to, as long as they follow the guidelines listed below. Students may opt to wear Halloween costumes to school on October 31st ONLY.

• No masks or full-face paint.
• No inflatable/blow-up costumes
• No canes, sticks, or weapon-like items of any kind are allowed. (Fake weapons at school will result in a suspension)
• No accessories- wands, buckets, etc.
• No fake blood or other substances that will spill or cause a mess will be allowed.
• Students may not wear anything suggestive or provocative in nature. No underwear as outerwear will be allowed.
• Nothing that promotes the use of illegal substances or activities.
• Nothing that is derogatory, disrespectful or portrays violence.
• Students must show respect to other students by not touching, defacing or insulting other students' costumes.
• Students must show respect for others by not choosing costumes that are insensitive and/or offensive to the diverse backgrounds represented by others at our school.

BE RESPECTFUL AND RESPONSIBLE!

If you have a question about your child's costume please communicate with us before the 31st. We will confiscate accessories, if necessary, and require students to change if rules are not followed.

iReady Round 2 week of 12/4

Starting October 23, 2023, Beginner Band MUST go to band on Monday, TUESDAY, and Friday. Wednesday and Thursday, they will stay at school and go to their regular class. This should help with the work balance. If a student skips band to stay at SSS they will be considered skipping.

Sign Up Genius for Staff Appreciation

A volunteer training and CAN workshop is tentatively scheduled based upon need. It will be held at the Paul Sawyier Public Library on Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m. During this training, we will review the Code of Ethics and assist with the online CAN application. Our middle school teachers will soon be sharing the PTSA Membership Application with our middle school students. What does a student leader do? Student leaders provide important feedback about grade-level experiences and assist with school activities and events.

Our PTSA gives members the opportunity to provide feedback on education and areas that affect families and students. Children succeed when families, schools, and communities work together. Let us help to elevate your voice! If you would like to reach us, please email sssfrankfort@gmail.com!

Drop Off

• If you do not see a bus in the right lane, please use it to double the space in the tunnel!
• Adults do not need to get out of the car.
• Do not let your child out of the car if you are in the tunnel before 7:40am
• Once you exit the tunnel and come to a complete stop, please have your child exit the car. - Do not wait for someone to open your child's door.
• At 7:40am please drop your child off in the tunnel by the front office.
• If you drop off at 7:45 or after, you must park and come inside to sign your child in for the day.

Pick Up

• If your child needs assistance getting buckled, please pull around to a parking spot and secure your child. - Do not exit your vehicle in the car rider line.
