As the snow melts away, we are starting to see a glimpse of spring. These bright sunny days have brought a smile to our faces. It is just another reminder that we have made it this far into the school year. The month of March reminds us just how lucky we are to still be learning face to face. We are excited to share that many of our teachers have received their first COVID vaccine.

Despite our best efforts, we still continue to have a few parents turning right into the lot for parent pick up at the end of the day. We have now installed a sign as an additional reminder.

We need 76 more books to reach our goal for 250 NEW BOOKS being donated! If we accomplish this goal, the entire school gets to have a Glow Party in their classrooms.

Forward Testing for 3rd and 4th graders will be taking place April 19th - April 26th.

The testing will take place in the morning, so please avoid scheduling any appointments (doctor, dentist, ortho, etc.) during the testing times. Also, please ensure your student(s) get enough sleep, have a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time.

Hello! We are simply amazed by your engagement in Kids Heart Challenge again this year! Thank you for supporting this tradition by helping your student choose a heart healthy goal and raising donations. If you have not had a chance to help---there is still time. Please be sure to ask your student about our service learning project and what they can do to make a difference. Please jump online or download the app today to help!

• exercise 60 minutes a day
• complete one act of kindness a day
• drink more water and less sugary drinks

They will also be able to scan their heart heroes to bring them to life, access educational virtual games and use our family fitness tracker – all through their devices! Please remember our teachers and classrooms can earn extra gifts based on those who register.

• Teachers with 50% of their students registered will be entered into an inner school drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card
• Classrooms with 75% registered will get a “Classified Classroom Fun Pack” complete with recess equipment and AHA swag AND a $25 Amazon gift card AND entered into the drawing a second time for another $25 Amazon gift card

Kindergarten SPLASH will be held on Friday, April 30th for all of our incoming kindergarteners. We will be offering informational tours throughout the day. Please watch for a sign up the week of April 5th.

4K and 5K online registration is now open on the Muskego-Norway Schools website.

We are excited to continue our Summer Learning Academy for Summer 2021! The course guidebook will be finished soon and viewable on our District website once complete.

• Registration Opens - Monday, March 15
• Registration Closes - Friday, March 26

HERE is your virtual newsletter for March 4th, 2021.

During the all-district virtual learning day on March 26th, elementary and middle school students will have the opportunity to learn more about career paths by participating in various activities that may be of interest. We are looking for staff, parent, and community volunteers to create short demonstration videos to engage students in these different pathways. If you have an area of passion you would like to share with students, please consider creating a short video. More information can be found in the flyer.

All proceeds will be donated to the Mill Valley Sensory Path Project to provide Mill Valley with another resource for all students. The classroom with the HIGHEST popcorn sales will WIN a POPCORN PARTY sponsored by the PTO!!!

All nominations MUST be submitted by Wednesday, March 10th at the Virtual PTO Meeting. Elections will take place at the April PTO Meeting.
