3rd Grade Science with Mrs. Fields

Hello 3rd Grade Scientists!

Last week: We talked about and played with magnets! I enjoyed playing the game with you all. Here are the links to those two game websites we went to:

Learning Points to Remember: All magnets have a north and south pole. North repels north/ south repels south. North attracts south. Our Earth's magnetic field is what attracts the compass needle and helps us find directions.

Next week: We will be reviewing and playing a Kahoot game to get ready for our Unit 11 assessment on Magnets and magnetic poles.

Extra Credit: Some students asked if they could do the solar system project for extra credit. You are cleared for take off! If you create a model of the solar system in which the planets are in the correct order next to the sun I will add a 5 point grade as extra credit. This is an OPTIONAL activity! Email me pictures of your project or upload them into the OLS.

I will accept this project at any point throughout the remainder of the year.
