2023-24 School Year

Linden Community Schools will welcome students to the 2023-24 school year on Monday, August 21, 2023. As we near the start of the new school year, your student's building principals will be communicating our building-specific information. Please check out the LCS website for information pertaining to the start of the 2023-24 school year.

LCS Bond Phase 1 Celebration

We would like to invite the entire LCS community to join us on Saturday, July 29, 2023, to celebrate the completion of Phase 1.


Phase 1 highlights include.


  • Renovation of Linden Elementary
  • Construction of the Multipurpose Building
  • Expansion and configuration of traffic and parking areas at Linden High School and Central Elementary


The celebration event will take place at the LCS Multipurpose Building, 7209 Silver Lake Rd., Linden, MI 48451 (Linden High School/Central Elementary campus) from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.

LCS Phase 2 Bond Program Update

Just a quick update on what has been happening at LHS.


  • On June 5th all furniture (student desks and teacher desks), and classroom supplies were packed up and moved to the gym.
  • Demolition of the north wing. All classrooms in the north wing were gutted! This included the removal of carpet, ceiling tiles, loose drywall walls, wires no longer needed, etc.
  • Electrical and technology vendors are currently on site installing new lines.
  • New classroom windows on the northwest corner of the building have been installed.
  • The maintenance area and wrestling room have been cleaned out and are prepared for demolition and renovations. This area (southwest corner of LHS) will be the location of the new STEM lab.
  • Selected trees in the front of LHS have been identified for removal. Some have died, and some will need to be removed in preparation for the relocation of the front entrance. We did identify two memorial trees. These trees will not be disrupted during the removal of the other trees.
  • Crews are preparing to begin the demolition process of the courtyard (removal of concrete, trees, and bushes).
  • August 7th has been targeted as our move-in date.

Meet LCS Athletic Director, Pete Gleason

Recently, Pete Gleason was named the new Athletic Director for Linden Community Schools and Assistant Principal at Linden High School. Prior to joining Linden, Pete was a classroom teacher, Athletic Director, Assistant Principal, and building Principal in the Bendle district for twenty years.


We are fortunate to have Pete as a member of the LCS family, and we are looking continued success.

LCS Back to School Webpage

After receiving feedback and information from our LCS families, we will be launching our "Back to School" webpage on Friday, July 14, 2023. The purpose of the webpage is to give our students and families valuable information about the 2023-24 school year in one spot! This includes school supply lists, open house and orientation information, school photo information, etc. Yes, everything you need to know in one place.


Communication and link will be sent out to LCS families on Friday, July 14!
