MST Weekly Update
June 2, 2023

Good afternoon to all of our MST family members.
June has arrived with a preview of summer heat! There are 5 school days left for seniors and 9 days for underclassmen. The race is on to get all of the schoolwork completed before time runs out. For students who need a little extra time to earn credit, four weeks have been scheduled for competency recovery from June 20th-July 20th (no recovery the week of July 4th).
The next two weeks will be very busy for staff, students, and their families. We hope you will be able to join us for Class Night on June 14th at 6:00 PM and Graduation on June 17th at 8:00 AM (more information below). Here is a link for the End of Year Calendar that was shared with seniors today.
CTE Recognition Night
This past Tuesday evening, we held our annual CTE recognition night at Memorial High School. 165 students were recognized for successfully completing 2 or 3 years of a CTE program. Students who earned a Certificate of Completion did not simply pass the class. In order to earn a certificate, a student must complete all of the required competencies for their program, maintain a C average or better, and have excellent attendance. A certificate indicates that the instructor would recommend for that student to continue on in their chosen field whether it be additional schooling or entering the profession.
Several students also received scholarship awards at the event. The recipients of awards were:
Davian Yagual (MSTHS)-$1000 Bickford Scholarship
Jondany Cruz (Memorial)-$1000 Bryan Halley Scholarship
Savannah Alves (Memorial)-$1500 Queen City Rotary Toolship Award
Hannah Jenkins (Memorial)-$1500 Queen City Rotary Toolship Award
Harold Burbine (Memorial)-$2500 Wire Belt Scholarship
Quentin Atwood (MSTHS)-$2500 Wire Belt Scholarship
Katie Blanchard (MSTHS)-$2500 Brown Family CET Scholarship
Samantha Metz (Goffstown)-Cosmetology Tool Award
Madison Houle (MSTHS)-Supercuts SkillsUSA Sponsorship
Congratulations to all of the students who were recognized at this annual event.
