RES Weekly Buzz

We hope this Weekly Buzz finds you and your family happy, and healthy and looking forward to spending time together over the holiday break. Our school has been bustling with holiday cheer this month, especially this past week. We are grateful to our students for being able to learn, have fun, and celebrate with one another while being their best selves.
•Pre-K has enjoyed the outdoor classroom and has discovered ice! They have enjoyed their time being creative in making ice muffins, and breaking them into different unique shapes.
•Kindergarten and fifth-grade "buddies," wrote a gingerbread story together, after our Kindergarten friends had read different versions of gingerbread stories.
•First and fourth-grade "buddies" watched The Polar Express together while cozy in their jammies and sipping hot cocoa.
•Second graders have "traveled" around the globe learning about winter holidays celebrated in different countries. They enjoyed learning about others’ customs and traditions.
•Third graders enjoyed learning about customs associated with the winter holidays and shared their own traditions with each other. They read books, listened to interviews, read information answered questions, and created a craft for each country they “visited."
Enjoy your children with today's extra day off and during this break. Play, paint, connect, read, hug and enjoy time together. We wish you the happiest of holidays.
See you in 2023!
Amy & Jodi
