Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

MacMillan Coffee Morning
We held our annual cake sale in support of MacMillan today and raised an amazing £304.72. Thank you to our parents, students and staff for your support.
Year 8 STEM
Our Year 8 students made some beautiful cakes for the sale. These proved very popular.
Student Volunteers
Mrs Smith would like say thank you to Tamzin, Debony, Bethany and Hana who helped with the cake sale and made it such a great success. Well done girls!

- Mr Cox has nominated all students who attended the auditions for the next school production "High School Musical", the final cast list will be announced next week.
- Miss Fenner has nominated the following year 11 students for great effort and progress in the recent English Literature mock, Luca, Daryl, Sophie, Kieron, Alex, Daniils, Bailey and Aidan O.
- Miss Kidner has nominated Year 7 student Theo and Year 8 student Rohan for being the top readers in the Summer Reading Challenge. Well done to C house for winning the Summer Reading Challenge.
- Mrs Morgan has nominated Year 7 student Ksenija for excellent work in Art.
- Mr Godfrey has nominated Year 13 student Karim for being a great role model to his peers. Also nominated is Year 9 student Carmen for great results in Physics.
- Miss Grieves has nominated her Year 8 PE groups for their excellent work ethic in Rugby this term.
- Mr Cox has nominated his Year 8 Scientists for their hard work this week. Also nominated are the Year 9 Drama students for a great surrealism performance.
- Mrs Vaghadia has nominated her Year 12 Psychology students and Year 9 Sociology students for their hard work this week.
- Mr Harley has nominated Year 9 student David for his excellent work making his engineer tool clamp, also Year 11 student Emily for her excellent third angle projection drawing work using 2D design.
- Mr Rogers has nominated the Sports Leaders who supported the recent Primary Cross Country event, these students were amazing ambassadors for the school. Also nominated are the Sports Leaders who volunteered at the year 6 Open Event this week.
- The PE Department would also like to mention Year 11 student Taylor G who has been selected to play for rugby for the elite performance squad, well done Taylor.
- Mrs Brown has nominated Year 13 student Morgan Robinson for excellent work on her NEA, with especially creative ideas for her original writing. Mrs Brown has also nominated Year 12 student Taylor for an excellent start in Language and Literature and completing an introduction to an essay worthy of someone who has been studying the course for two years!
Attendance Matters
Every single day a student is absent from school equates to a day lost of learning. At Corby Technical School we pride ourselves in maintaining excellent attendance. Our target is to achieve and maintain a whole school attendance of above 96.5%. We will be giving you weekly updates on our whole school attendance, the tutor group and house who achieved the highest attendance this week.

Best tutor groups are 7CA, 7SW and 9C with 100% attendance, well done everyone.
House Winner
House winners this week S house with 97.51%, well done Stephenson and Swirles.
Reminders:
- The payment window is open for the Year 7 Activity Week. Please ensure you have returned your reply slip and behaviour contract to school reception and full payment must be made via Wisepay before Wednesday 3rd October.
