This Week In Third Grade
Reading
Students can explain the relationships among the major and minor characters.
We will be doing read alouds, having collaborative discussions and analyzing character traits.
Writing
Students can compose literary texts using genre characteristics.
We will be making a heart map with ideas to write about and students will complete their first free write.
Math
Students can compose and decompose numbers up to 100,000 using objects, pictorial models, and numbers, including expanded notation as appropriate.
We will be doing number talks and practicing number problem solving.
Science
Students can measure, test, and record physical properties of matter.
We will be discussing characteristics of matter, as well as finding and sorting objects by their properties of matter.

Office Hours
