We have always been lucky here at St. Mary's to employ amazing teachers, seeing many of them into their retirement. This year we have two teachers retiring and we want to send them off with as many well-wishes and as much love as possible.
Mrs. Michele Young, Wilson Reading teacher, will be retiring at the end of this school year. She has worked at St. Mary's for just under 30 years. She not only attended St. Mary's as a child, but she also sent all four of her children to the school and now has two grandchildren here.
Dr. Gladys Camp, Morning and Extended Care Director, will also be retiring at the close of this year. She has been working in Catholic schools for over 30 years. During her time in the Archdiocese of Washington she has served as a teacher, principal, and director of various programs.
We will honor them on Monday, June 13th from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Family Life Center. We will serve light refreshments and give our current and former families a chance to see these wonderful women off into their retirement. Virtus Certification is not needed for this event.
