Roman News November 2021
From the Principal's Desk...
Can you believe we are already to November? This school year is going by quickly! Along with time moving quickly, we are also approaching winter soon. We have really been blessed with the weather. Unfortunately, we know that all good things usually come to an end. Hopefully Mother Nature is polite to us this year when it comes to snow. With this in mind, the weather is starting to change quickly. Please make sure your child is prepared for the weather and has a warm coat, boots, hat, and gloves. Children will still go outside for recess.
This month I tend to reflect on all of the things I am thankful for. I am blessed beyond belief to be a part of such a great community of staff, students, and parents. I am thankful each day that I am lucky to lead a fantastic staff that gives so much of their personal time and hearts to our children each day. I am thankful for the rich culture we have here and the growth that we are all experiencing with learning how we are all different, but special. I also give thanks for the continual support of the community. Without many of you, we would not be able to continue to develop such great young minds. Take time out to reflect on what you are thankful for this season.
We are excited and very thankful for our parent support this year! We have the most parents we have had in a long time supporting us and being a part of our Parent Action Committee group! This group of parents attends a meeting with me once a month to plan and find ways we can support teachers and students. If you are interested in joining us, please do! Our next meeting is Thursday, November 4 at 8:30. We would love more parents to join us and help with activities and events in the school!
A tremendous thank you for the outpouring of support for Trunk or Treat this year! We were able to give our community a safe Trick or Treat experience. Due to the rainy weather, we had to hold the event inside this year for the first time, but we made it happen and it was a success! A huge thank you for all of the donations! We love the Roman community!
Please know my door is always open, if there are any questions or concerns please feel free to call me or email me.
Please continue to use safe practices and to limit large gatherings. The cases of COVID that have been reported so far have all been from large gatherings, not from tracing it back to school. Please refrain from large gatherings or use safe practices when doing so.
