2023 Backpack Blessing Mass
Family Connection
Our kids are returning to school very soon and us parents are ramping up our to-do lists. From new clothes to haircuts, shoes to school supplies—these days can be overwhelming and exhausting.
As one family tries to put it all into perspective, they asked their son, headed into his last year of high school, “If you could tell parents one thing about the first week of school, what would it be? What does faith have to do with the first day of school?”
Check out his response in this great read as we ready ourselves to get back into the school routine. Click here for Back-to-School and Setting the Tone by Soren & Ever Johnson.

National Eucharistic Revival - Year of the Parish
Purpose, connection, peace. These desires are written on our hearts for a reason. The answer lies at the very center of our faith: the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. The National Eucharistic Revival is a joyful, expectant, grassroots movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery here in the United States.
The task of local parishes in this Year of Parish Revival: to revive their parishioners in their love with Jesus in the Eucharist and to send them forth to share this love with others.
What does this mean for our faith community of Holy Trinity?
- Over this year we will renew our attentiveness to the Eucharist in all of our Faith Formation classes and events. You will experience a very intentional focus on this gift of gifts in all that we do together!
- We will have more opportunities for a personal encounter with Jesus, including Adoration every Thursday (3-4pm) and an extended time every Third Thursday (3-7pm) followed by a Holy Hour with Benediction (7-8pm).
- Small group conversation and study will be offered throughout the year. The Mass Readings Explained Bible Study begins on Wednesday, September 6 (6:30-8pm) and additional opportunities will be available through Advent and Lent.
- We will be introducing our "Invite One Back" initiative, more to come!
Email Tricia.Kull@dor.org for more information on how you can get involved or visit the National Eucharistic Revival Website.

YOUTH SERVICE HOURS
Jesus calls us to serve others!
‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:40
The Church is the people of God all gifted by the mystery of God’s presence and empowered by the Holy Spirit to share these gifts with others. This call to ministry, or service, is an integral part of living the Good News and is an important part of our preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Service work should reflect the command Jesus gave us, that we loved God and our neighbor. Therefore, we need to do more than just read and talk about love: we must practice it daily.
