Grade 3 classes wrote an essay to explain how they helped in a situation that strengthen their character by being truthful and fair, building goodwill and better friendships and doing good deeds to help others. The Rotary Club of the Bridgewaters is part of Rotary International. Locally they give a dictionary to each third grader as part of our Literacy Project. A big thank you to the Rotarians!

This year’s Student Council members are off and running on continuing our ideas from last year and starting up some new projects this year. Here is what we want you to know!

· Box Top for Education Fundraiser – we have raised over $115 so far. We are raising more than last year and we hope your effort and support will continue! Please encourage your friends and family to download that app to upload or scan shopping receipts to help our school!

· We have a paper recycling program back in place! Working with Miss Roberts, our PE teacher and current Miss Earth Massachusetts, we are beginning to promote and encourage our peers to recycle any and all paper to take better care of our planet.

· We are assisting with SRO Pope’s Wildcat Toy Drive! Please see the flyer that went home this week. We have learned multiple WB families are in need this holiday season. SRO Pope is coordinating a collection for our school community to work together to benefit local families in need. There is a box outside the main office to collect any donations. If you would like to donate gift cards, please give them directly to Mrs. Enos (RLM Student Council Advisor) or to Mrs. Chmielinski in the Main Office. We are assisting with the collection through Dec. 22nd!

· We are planning a food drive for January/February. Stay tuned!

Members: Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 21st from 3-3:45pm.

Our SEL rolled out a positive behavior reward system earlier this year, working with all of our staff to distribute “Pawsitivity Points” to students to encourage and support them in making good choices and being mindful of their surroundings and actions. Boy, are our wildcats loving it! Kiddos are saving up the paw points they earn to spend at our new school store. The items in the store are a hit. Have you seen the posters, rainbow pens, drawstring bags, and vinyl stickers they have earned? There are many other items to choose from too. Many parents have reached out asking if and how they can support our efforts, and we are grateful for their collaboration. We have put together a wish list on Amazon for items to keep our store stocked and interesting. If you are willing and able, we welcome any and all donations.

We are also in need of volunteers to help us cut out more Pawsitivity Points! If you would like a stack of papers to cut out, please contact Mrs. Enos at jenos@wbridgewater.com

Thank you to everyone who attended our Breakfast with Santa! We hoped you enjoyed it!

Thanks to those who brought a toy for our Wildcat Toy Drive! We appreciate it! The schools, fire dept. and police dept. will continue to collect donations as well!
