April is School Library Month!

Testing in the Media Center shouldn't keep you from using our resources!

Continuing into April, FSA testing will be given starting April 13 and EOC tests will start soon after that. Unfortunately, that means limited access to the media center as students are using the computers for testing. However, our ebooks and online databases are always available, 24/7. Here are a few ways to access our resources:

The Virtual Library
Axis 360 ebooks

And, please stop by to see if we are open. You never know. We don't test every day or every period! :)

3rd Quarter Reading Counts Winners!

The following students read books from the Reading Counts(RC) reading program and passed RC quizzes with 7 out of 10 correct answers. For each quiz they pass, their name is entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $10.00 gift certificate each 9 weeks. The winners for 3rd quarter are:

Books & Bytes Spring Event!

On Friday, March 20, the Edsby group, Books & Bytes, enjoyed an afternoon of good conversation and yummy treats while discussing Cinder by Marissa Meyers and 11/22/63 by Stephen King. As it turns out, more of the students read Cinder then the Stephen King novel; however, all of the students enjoyed hearing about both books. Now everyone wants to continue reading about Cinder and the Lunar Chronicles by reading the next book in the series, Scarlet. The following students participated in the Spring Event:

GET READY TO RUMBLE!

The Reading Rumble team is gearing up for this year's event which will be held on May 19 at the Instructional Services Center. The students will practice by answering questions related to all 15 titles in this year's Florida Teens Read list. Currently, our Reading Rumble team members are:
