These superheroes were recognized for being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, SAFE, and KIND by having their names randomly drawn from the classroom's weekly ticket collection.

In science this year we have adopted the use of FOSS materials to help kids investigate science concepts.

Every FOSS investigation follows a similar design to provide multiple exposures to science concepts. The design includes these pedagogies:

• Active investigation, including outdoor experiences
• Recording in science notebooks to answer the focus question
• Reading in FOSS Science Resources
• Assessment to monitor progress and motivate student reflection on learning

Talk to your child about the exciting things they are doing in science this school year.

On February 14th, Jensen will be having Friendship Parties. Teachers will schedule these parties during the time of day that best works for their classroom schedule. PTO is generously donating a snack and drink for all students. More information to come from teachers.
