The next PTO Meeting will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the MTSS Room at Freeland Elementary. Election of new officers will take place at this meeting, so if you have any interest in learning more about those positions or possibly taking office, you won't want to miss this meeting. We hope to see you there!

PTO February Newsletter

Spring pictures will take place on Tuesday, April 9th. Picture packets will be sent home today and only those parents that wish for their student to have their picture taken need to send back the packet. For more information about the packages, please click the button below.

We could also use one parent volunteer to help from about 9:00-1:00, so if you are interested, please contact the office at 695-5721.

During the week of March 18th, the students at the Learning Center showed their school spirit and Falcon pride as they cheered on the girls varsity basketball team during their run to the State championship game that was held on Saturday, March 23rd. Prior to the quarterfinal game, the team stopped by the Learning Center for a short pep assembly, with each class presenting the players (and coach) with a goody bag for the road trip. Then, prior to their semifinal game, the team's charter bus drove to the Learning Center so the team could walk along the sidewalk for all of the staff and students to give high fives and cheer them on. Overall, it was an exciting week for our youngest Falcons.

The girls varsity basketball team ended up losing in the State championship game, but put up a valiant effort against a nationally ranked team from Detroit.

With the end of the third marking period coming up on Friday, please note that report cards will be posted to Skyward on Monday, April 15th, and hard copies will also be sent home with your student that same day.

On Friday, April 12th, any items remaining in the Lost & Found will be bagged and donated to Goodwill. We simply have too many items that have not been claimed in quite some time and need to make some room for the next batch of items that end up in Lost & Found.

If you have not yet done so, please check out the district's new app. This app will allow you to stay up-to-date with access to real-time information from each of the Freeland schools. I also encourage you to periodically check the Learning Center's Live Feeds, News, and Events as we will be updating those items regularly. We will continue to move away from the Skyward messaging system for school-wide news and information as quickly as possible.
