Fall Party
Grand Prairie staff is excited to host a Fall Party with our students this year! The Fall Party is scheduled for Tuesday, October 31, 2023. For the Fall Party, our students will participate in a Fall Parade outdoors and a Fall Celebration in their classroom. We invite our families to join us outdoors for the Fall Parade!
For the fall party, kindergarten through fifth grade students are invited to bring their Halloween costume to school to wear for the Fall Party. Please do not send your child to school wearing his/her costume. Students will be given time to change into their costumes prior to the Halloween parade. Please make sure your child’s costume is able to go over their clothes.
We ask that no weapons or blood are brought to school as part of a child’s costume. If students have a mask as part of their costume, they may wear the mask during the Fall Parade, but we will ask that the mask remain off while inside the school building. Also, please do not send students to school with face make-up applied to their faces. Lastly, students may come to school with hair paint in their hair, but no hair paint can be applied at school.
As a school tradition, the students will have a Fall Parade outside of Grand Prairie Elementary School. Families and friends are invited to attend the parade. The parade will be held on Tuesday, October 31st at 2:00 p.m. The parade will last approximately fifteen minutes. The parade will start at Door A and conclude at Door F. Please space yourselves when outside viewing the parade; the back of the school has great space for viewing the parade! If it is inclement weather, the parade will be canceled.
Following the Fall Parade, students will participate in a Fall Celebration of activities and games in their classroom. The Fall Celebration will be from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. Teachers will be in touch regarding their expectations for parent help. Reminder: No candy or latex anything is allowed
